How to get smooth legs for summer

As we get closer to the spring and summer months, we’re going to be exposing our legs more often. Most of us have had our legs covered for quite a few months now and when we begin wearing shorts and skirts without tights it can take some getting used to. Of course, many of us also tend to feel like our legs aren’t looking quite as smooth as we’d like since they’ve been covered up for a bit. We know you want to know how to get super smooth legs for the spring and summer, so we’re sharing our tips with you now.

Smooth Legs For the Summer

Soak skin for three minutes

Before shaving, wet your skin for at least three minutes to let the hair soften. The best time to shave is at the very END of a shower.

Use warm water

You want the water to be warm enough to feel comfortable, but not hot, since hot water can dry out your skin.

Exfoliate your skin

Exfoliate your skin with a body scrub. Many people skip this step, but you need to help prevent dead skin cells from clogging up your razor in order to get the closest shave possible.

Apply shaving gel

Next, of course, apply a shaving gel all over your legs to help prevent nicks and scrapes. Gels create a moisturizing lather and, of course, help you keep track of where you still need to shave.

Keeping Your Legs Smooth

You’ve probably heard about exfoliating the skin on your face to remove dead skin cells and help get a smoother surface on your skin…but have you applied that same knowledge to your legs? Exfoliating is such a powerful way to get smooth skin – for your legs, too! So often people forget that the skin on our legs is similar to our face in that it needs to be exfoliated to remove those dead skin cells to have a smoother surface. Experts suggest that you can exfoliate your legs 2-3 times per week. You’ll want to do this in the shower for the best results – but the results will be pretty amazing when you get into the routine!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

It’s no secret that your skin needs moisture to be healthy. That rule applies to the skin on your legs as well. If you want truly smooth legs, you need to make moisturizing a consistent habit for yourself. Applying moisturizer to your legs is going to help keep the skin hydrated, moisturized and healthy – giving you much smoother looking legs. Experts suggest making it a habit to apply moisturizer to your legs on a consistent basis (morning and evening is best). However, in addition to the typical routine you’ll also want to make sure that you apply moisturizer after you shave and exfoliate your skin – doing so will really soak up the moisture and get your legs looking and feeling super smooth.

Inzap Natural Moisturizing Cream

Moisturizing Cream increases the skin's ability to attract, hold and distribute moisture. It penetrates deeply into the layers of the stratum corneum (the skin barrier) to restore the balance of lipids that are essential for an effective skin barrier.
